Venues & Format Shifts
A venue-centered view of BREAD's evolution from club residency to remote streams.
Primary venue phases
F8 period (early cycle)
F8 is documented as an early anchor point for pilot and residency activity, especially during formation and growth years.
Underground SF period (later club cycle)
Programming emphasis shifted to Underground SF as city conditions and scene dynamics changed.
Additional venue references in research notes
User-archive notes include references to additional touchpoints such as Public Works Loft, Mighty, Bruno’s, Codeword, Club 6ix, and OMG.
These should be represented as event-linked venue records rather than one-off mentions.
Format transitions
- Club-night format: recurring in-person events with residents + guests.
- Radio format: BREAD FM continuity between parties and later digital programming traces.
- Telethon format: pandemic-era livestream fundraising.
Source status notes
- Venue assertions currently mix indexed web snippets, screenshot-derived notes, and user-supplied archival claims.
- Resident Advisor event confirmation is currently constrained by anti-bot blocking in this environment.
- Facebook event URLs are preserved as discovery leads and require event-by-event review.
